APPLICATION

AUN-ACTS Application Deadline

First Semester:  15 April

Second Semester: 15 September

Eligibility

1. Must be endorsed by the International Relations Office of the home university

2. GPA Requirement: preferably 3.0/4.0 or better

3. Language requirement: Institutional English Language proficiency score equivalent to the scores below is accepted:

TOEFL - 500 paper based/ 173 computer based/ 61 Internet based or IELTS - overall score 6

Application Procedure

Note: This application procedure is applicable only for Exchange Students under the AUN-ACTS

 

1.      Apply in the AUN-ACTS Portal

2.      The Office of International Linkages (OIL) will evaluate the application then endorse the application to the preferred UP constituent university. OIL will get in touch with the International Relations Office (IRO) of the partner university and the prospective student for the sending of the application packet and guidelines for admission.

3.      Send original files of the application documents to OIL on or before the deadline.

First Semester: 30 May

Second Semester: 30 October

 

 

ACADEMIC

Academic Schedule

First Semester: 1st week of August-2nd week of December

Second Semester: 1st week of January-4th week of May

Average Course Load per semester

Normal study load per semester: 15 to 18 units or five to six courses

Grading System

1.0 - 1.25 Excellent

1.5 - 1.75 Very Good

2.0 - 2.25 Good

2.5 - 2.75 Satisfactory

3.0 Pass

4.0 Conditional

5.0 Fail

 

 

PRACTICAL

Visa Requirement

Foreign students are assisted by the OIL of the UP Constituent University in their visa application. Once accepted by UP, the student is given a step-by- step procedure on how he/she can obtain student visa or 47(A)(2) visa.

Airport transfer

Airport transfer is provided to exchange students

Insurance

UP does not require a specific insurance, but foreign students are encouraged to get one.

Accommodation

The University of the Philippines may provide accommodation to international students. However, reservation is on first come first served basis.

Estimated Living Cost

Php 15,000 – Php 25,000 per month
