Course Description |
This module is designed to facilitate students to explore the concepts of ‘normality’ in the care of women with uncomplicated postnatal period and care of normal and healthy neonates. The module involves an in-depth study of routine care procedures, assessment of individual needs and treatments for common discomforts and problems. This module also requires the student to practice critical thinking and risk assessment skills, apply precepts of evidence-based practice and demonstrate cultural sensitivity incorporating MIB concepts of care.
