| Course Description |
This module aims to provide the linguistic and sociolinguistic background of Brunei by focusing on the various languages that are spoken in the country. A different angle on linguistic issues in Brunei will be taken weekly to give the student a multi-dimensional and well-rounded view of the linguistic situation of Brunei. The desired outcome is for the student to be aware of the sociolinguistic context in which they are supposed to live and work, to aid effective communication.
