| Course Description | This module explores the concepts of race, ethnicity and nation from a sociological and anthropological perspective. As such it examines the historical and social foundations of race and ethnicity and the dynamics of inter-ethnic relations and identity construction. It concludes with an examination of the processes by which ethnic identities can be transformed into national identities. |
