| Course Description | The aim of this module is to familiarise students with the principles and practices of the ethnography of communication approach with particular emphasis on conversational analysis and the role of context. By the end of the module, students will be able to transcribe, analyse and interpret a variety of conversational texts embedded in a variety of institutional and casual communicative contexts. |
