| Course Description |
This module aims to introduce to students the different genres in the study of literature, such as prose fiction (novel and short story forms), drama, poetry and film. It also aims to introduce the main elements in the study of literature, including point of view, character, theme, setting, figures of speech, amongst others. By the end of the course, students should be familiar with the basic skills of literary analysis, and have developed insights and opinions about different literary genres and texts.
