Course Description  This module aims to develop the basic reading skills learnt in Semester 1 through a variety of genres and texts. Students will learn new terminologies and their applications, and to pay close attention to textual details. They will also deepen their powers of observation by learning different critical and multidisciplinary approaches to literary appreciation and criticism. By the end of the course, students should be able to display independent research skills and to critically engage with literary texts. They should also know how to generate persuasive arguments with supporting textual examples and references.
