Course Description |
The aim of this module is to acquaint the students with the mathematical concepts and techniques that are considered indispensable for a proper understanding of current economics. Various mathematical tools and techniques are introduced and developed in a carefully graduated manner. The focus of the module is on how mathematics is used in economic analyses and what is gained by applying mathematical tools to economic problems. The organization of the module is such that theory and applications are presented together in lectures.
