Course Description  Agriculture and food systems are experiencing profound changes internationally. There are growing concerns relating to resource use, health, environment and food security. The aim of this module is to show how basic economic principles can be used to understand and analyze issues relating to production and natural resource use in agriculture, consumption, trade and government policy relating to agriculture and food. Emphasis will be placed on agriculture and food systems that are economically and environmentally sustainable. This module also introduces concepts and issues on how to effectively manage a farm business.
