Course Description | This module is designed to establish a conceptual framework for carrying out studies of the physical environment. The systems approach, as applied to physical geography and environmental sciences, was developed in the early 1960's and allows us to define and examine a wide variety of environments in a consistent manner. Being a first year course, it lays the foundation for students to later undertake more specialised modules in environmental studies. |
