Course Description  This module aims to provide students who have studied Southeast Asia and Islam with a better understanding of the dynamics and characteristics of Islam in Southeast Asia. In addition, the module is designed to help students pursue their own research on general aspects as well as local variants of Islamic history in this region. This module examines the history of Muslim states and cultures across Southeast Asia. The goal of this module is to provide students with contextualized understandings of more recent developments, as well as to facilitate comparative reflections on the trajectories of other cultural and political traditions in the region.
