Course Description | The module will focus on different types of environmental hazards such as those relating to land (e.g. earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and landslides), climate (e.g. hurricanes, typhoons or cyclones, temperature extremes and lightning) and water-related hazards (floods and droughts). After taking the module students are expected to differentiate between different environmental hazards and understand their causes and geographic distribution. |
