Course Description  Ecosystems operate over different spatial and temporal scales. Therefore, the goal of this module is to introduce the concepts and drivers of processes that produce spatial and temporal variations within ecosystems. This is fundamental in understanding the interactions between components within ecosystems. The module also examines resultant patterns within ecosystems. The module will also introduce how natural and anthropogenic factors influence the dynamics and the biodiversity of ecosystems.
Prerequisite  Students should be majoring in Environmental Studies or have biological / ecological knowledge up to at least GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
