Learning Indonesian Language at Universitas Airlangga (LINGUA)
Greetings from Universitas Airlangga!
Universitas Airlangga designs LINGUA for international students who wish to expand their knowledge and experience through learning the Indonesian language and culture. We hope that the more international students come to UNAIR, the more they will know Indonesia, along with its local characteristics. This program could be a medium where students learn to be global citizens through various cultural and educational activities.
LINGUA offers a full waived tuition fee for Indonesian language and culture enthusiasts willing to learn and understand the subjects via intensive lessons. This program will be conducted online for one semester (5 months). It comprises two learning programs: LINGUA Level A1 & A2, which focuses on the beginner-level lesson, and LINGUA Level B1 & B2, which consists of the intermediate level lesson.
Through synchronous and asynchronous online learning, students can improve and develop their practical life-skills of understanding the Indonesian language and culture. After accomplishing this program, students will achieve the certificate of attendance and transferable academic transcript.

University graduate/ active student who meets the following criteria:
Able to meet the minimum standards of English language proficiency, unless exemptions apply.
The minimum requirements are listed as follows:
- Academic IELTS Test, overall score: 5 or above;
- The TOEFL® Test, min. 500 (paper-based), 70 (iBT);
*If you are studying at the school, college, institution or a university with English as medium of instruction, please submit Statement Letter of English as Medium of Instruction issued by home university.
*Not applicable for student from English Speaking countries.
1. A copy of Passport (colored front page)/ Official ID/ Student Card
2. Most recent passport size photo (red/ blue/ white background)
3. Official academic transcript in English (issued by the applicant’s home institution)/ degree certificate
4. Scanned English Proficiency Certificate
5. CV
6. Motivation Letter
- Tuition fully waived
- Certificate of attendance
- Academic transcript (credit earning/transfer)
- Prepare all scanned required documents.
- Fill in the online form and upload all those required documents by May 31st, 2022 (Fall) and November 5th, 2022 (Spring).
- p.s: failure to submit the required documents and/or fill the application form before due date will render the application incomplete and/or invalid, thus cannot be processed.

- Interested students must apply through AUN-ACTS portal.
- Send email to inbound@global.unair.ac.id and attach your AUN-ACTS application page.
- Make sure/contact your International Office/Office of International Affairs/AUN-ACTS. Committee at your home university to “nominate” your application.
